Yansi (also Eyansi, Eyanzi, Kiyanzi, Yans and Yanzi) is a Bantu language and is spoken by around 10,000 people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

It is widespread in the province of Bandundu in the Territoire Bulungu along the Loange River .

classification

Yansi forms the Yanzi group with the languages Boma , Ding , Mfinu , Mpuono and Tiene . According to the classification of Malcolm Guthrie , Tiene belongs to the Guthrie zone B80. It is related to Ding and Mpuono.

Yansi has the dialect Yeei (also Yey).
