The Zittau zoo is a seven hectare zoo in Zittau . The zoo is also called the zoo in the border triangle . It was founded in 1965 and has been a closed zoo since 1968.
Its origins go back to a deer enclosure and a forest bird aviary until the beginning of the century . The zoo is located in the so-called Weinau Park , which was laid out in the English style from 1876 and is still largely preserved today.
