Tihishit is the collective name proposed by Robert Nicolaï for the dialects Tagdal and Tabarog , spoken by nomads in central Niger , which belong to the Northern Songhai .

"Tihishit" is a word from the Tuareg language Tamahaq, which means "language of the blacks".
