history

Tiki effervescent powder was invented in 1907 by the baking powder manufacturer Hynek Boleslav Allan (1886–1945) from Bohemia and produced in Dvůr Králové nad Labem, northeast of Prague . In 1947 his son Guy Allan fled to Switzerland, where he first produced the Tiki tablets according to the recipe he had brought with him in Näfels GL and then in Mont-sur-Lausanne . While Tiki sells well in Switzerland, all attempts to export it to Italy , Arabia , France , South America, or the United States have failed.

Since 1993 Tiki has been exclusively operated by Domaco Dr. med. Aufdermaur AG in Lengnau AG , to which Allan sold its production. Since then, the product range has expanded to include the following items:

  • Tiki double dice in a bag
  • Tiki double cube in a round box
  • Tiki Mini Shots
  • Tiki effervescent powder sticks
  • Tiki grape sugar
  • Tiki Mixed Pouch
  • Look-O-Look Party Mix - With Tiki Mini Shots
  • Tiki lemonades with a raspberry or cola flavor (aluminum can of 3.3 dl)

In the 90s, the Tiki boy switched to a manga design, which corresponded exactly to the zeitgeist. With the 60th anniversary in 2007, Tiki reintroduced retro design with the boy and was very successful with it. Since 2011, all products have been changed to the latest design: the Tiki Totem family . Since the word Tiki comes from the South Seas, these gods figures were obvious.

Tiki has been involved in football camps for children for several years.
