Till Talaulicar

Till Talaulicar (* 1972 ) is a German economist and university professor .

Life

Talaulicar studied industrial engineering with a technical focus on technical chemistry at the Technical University of Berlin . He completed his studies in 1998 as a graduate engineer . He then worked there as a research assistant in the field of organization and corporate management and also at the Berlin Center of Corporate Governance and received his doctorate in 2005/2006 with the dissertation Corporate Codes : Types and Standardization Strategies for Implementing Corporate Ethics . A short time later he was also at the TU Berlin habilitation and got as lecturer the Venia legendi for the subject area Business Administration.

2008 Talaulicar took a reputation as a university professor at the Institute for Corporate Governance and Board Dynamics at the University of Witten / Herdecke and was also an academic institute director of the Institute of Corporate Governance. In 2011 he turned down a call to the University of Seeburg Castle and in the same year followed another call to the political science faculty of the University of Erfurt . He has since then as Professor held the chair of Organization and Management. He also teaches at the Faculty's Willy Brandt School of Public Policy . From 2012 to 2015 and again since 2018 he is Vice Dean of the Faculty of Political Science. He was confirmed as Vice Dean in autumn 2019. In 2016 he turned down an offer to Sweden to Lund University .

Talaulicar researches corporate governance , organizational design and business ethics . He is also in several magazines as editor involved so as Senior Editor for the journal Management and Organization Review and member of the Editorial Review Board of the journal Organization Science . On January 1, 2019, he and Konstantinos Stathopoulos took over the editing of the magazine Corporate Governance: An International Review , for which he previously worked as Associate Editor.

Awards and honors

Talaulicar received the following awards:

  • 1998 Erwin Stephan Prize for academic achievements.
  • 1998 Honored by the Joint Commission for Industrial Engineering of the TU Berlin as the best graduate of the academic year 1997/98.
  • 2007 Science Prize of the Plansecur Foundation for the promotion of business ethics, communication and relationship skills.
  • 2008 Best Reviewer of the Year 2007 for Corporate Governance: An International Review.
  • 2018 Best Senior Editor , Academy of Management meeting in Chicago for his involvement with Management and Organization Review .
