description

The Tillicoultry Mains lie to the east of the city and once formed the center of the village of Eastertown , which is now part of the city of Tillicoultry. The symmetrically constructed building was built between 1837 and 1838. The building has a U-shape with an inner courtyard opening to the south. The north side of the one-story building protrudes a little over the two wings, which is due to the loft in this part of the building. In the middle, three segment arches lead to the former wagon shed. The south-facing wings end with pavilions , the edges of which are flattened. Just like the main building, they end with hip roofs . In the northwest there is a flat, one-story wing of more recent date.
