Tim Armstrong (born May 12, 1967 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League from 1984 to 1991 .

Career

Tim Armstrong began his career as a hockey player with the Toronto Marlboros , for which he was active in the Ontario Hockey League from 1984 to 1987 . During this time he was selected in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft in the eleventh round as a total of 211th player from the Toronto Maple Leafs . For their farm team , the Newmarket Saints , he mainly ran until 1990. Only in the 1988/89 season Armstrong completed eleven games in the National Hockey League for the Maple Leafs, in which he scored a goal. After starting the 1990/91 season with the Binghamton Rangers in the AHL, he was on the ice in five games for VEU Feldkirch in Austria, where he ended his career at the age of 24.
