Tim Bakens (born November 2, 1982 in Groesbeek ) is a former Dutch football player.

Football career

Tim Bakens made his debut as a professional footballer in the 2001/02 season at De Graafschap and has already made 25 appearances in his first season. In the following season (21 missions) the team was relegated to the second division. Bakens made a significant contribution to direct recovery with 30 appearances and a remarkable six goals. Bakens completely missed the 2004/05 season due to a knee injury. He did not extend the expiring contract and moved to RKC Waalwijk in 2005 , where he stayed for three seasons (including one in the second highest division). He spent the coming season at FC Volendam , to which he returned after a six-month interlude at Sparta Rotterdam .

In the summer of 2010, Tim Bakens moved to Switzerland for FC St. Gallen on a free transfer .
