Career

Claasen began playing handball at the age of five at TSV Ratekau, for which he played up to the D-youth. He then joined VfL Bad Schwartau . After the backcourt player ran up for NTSV Strand 08 , he returned to VfL Bad Schwartau. With VfL he competed in the youth Bundesliga .
