Tim summer

Tim Sommer (born May 13, 1968 in Freyburg ) is a German journalist . Since 2005 he has been editor-in-chief of the magazine art - Das Kunstmagazin .

Life

Tim Sommer was born in Freyburg in 1968 as the son of a dentist and a pharmacist. He studied art history and art education at the University of Leipzig . He began his journalistic career at the Leipziger Volkszeitung , for which he wrote articles in the cultural section. From 1998 he worked as a Leipzig correspondent for the art magazine art. The then editor-in-chief of the magazine, Axel Hecht , brought the editorial team to Hamburg in the summer of 2000. There rose in summer 2004 to the deputy editor-in-chief. He has been editor-in-chief of the art magazine since the beginning of 2005.
