Live and act

After joining a few small Fresno rap groups in the 1980s, Torres turned to dance music. His first track, Time After Time , was so successful that he got a recording deal with Quality Records. Time After Time debuted in the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and became number 1 on the Billboard Dance Singles Chart.

In late 1990, Timmy T recorded the single One More Try , which sold over a million copies and topped the Billboard charts in 1991. This was followed by the release of the first album Time After Time , which in addition to the title track contained the pieces What Will I Do , One More Try and Over and Over . The follow-up album All for Love did not reach the charts with any song.

In the 1990s, Timmy T toured the world and was a guest on various TV shows.
