Timothy Bell, Baron Bell

Timothy Bell, Baron Bell ( October 18, 1941 - August 25, 2019 ) was a British director for advertising and public relations . He was best known for his advisory work in three election campaigns of Margaret Thatcher .

Career

Bell worked in various advertising / PR firms before becoming “Managing Director” of Saatchi & Saatchi in 1970 , which he co-founded. He later became chairman there.

He left the company to set up his own agency, Lowe Bell Communications , in 1987 , and in 1994 became chairman of Chime Communications.

During his time at Saatchi & Saatchi and later with his own agency, Bell was instrumental in the Tories' election campaigns .

Bell was promoted to Knight Bachelor in 1990 and was promoted to Life Peer on June 19, 1998 as Baron Bell , of Belgravia in the City of Westminster .
