Timur Vadimowitsch Ivanov ( Russian Тимур Вадимович Иванов ; born August 15, 1975 in Moscow ) is a Russian manager and since May 2016 Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Life

Ivanov graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University as an applied mathematician. From 1999 to 2002 he worked as a consultant for atomic energy issues in the field of equipment for nuclear objects at the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. In 2004 he successfully graduated from the International Academy for Marketing and Management as a specialist in economics and finance. The Doctor of Science from 2002 to 2006: Consultant of the First Deputy General Director of the company Rosenergoatom in financial and economic issues. He then worked as Vice President and later as First Vice President for the power plant construction company Atomstroiexport . From 2008 to 2009 he worked as deputy chairman of the board of Inter RAO UES . From 2008 to 2012 he worked as an advisor to the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation. From 2009 to 2012 he was also Director General of the Russian Energy Agency at the Ministry of Energy ("Minenergo"). From May to November 2012 he was Deputy Chairman of the Government of Moscow Oblast . During this time, the future Minister of Defense Shoigu was governor of the oblast. From March 2013 until his appointment as Deputy Defense Minister in May 2016, he was General Director of the “Oboronstroi” joint stock company, which specializes in the construction of housing for military personnel and the construction of strategic military objects.

Ivanov is married and has two children.

Sociopolitical activity

From 2008 to 2012 he was chairman of the Russian-Slovak Economic Council. Since 2010 he has been co-chair of the Russian-French Center for Energy Efficiency. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Russia and on the board of CSKA Moscow .
