Tino Reboli

Tino Reboli (born September 9, 1914 in Newark ; New Jersey , † November 18, 1985 ) was an American cyclist .

Tino Reboli grew up in the city of Newark, which at the time had a nationally known cycling track . In 1929 he was the American champion in the junior road race . In 1931 and 1932 he was road champion of New Jersey and qualified for participation in the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles . Since there was no sponsor for the travel expenses, he could not take part. Then he became a professional . In those years he mainly drove six days . He started at 47, of which he won two, in 1935 in Cleveland with Alfred Letourneur and in 1946 in Chicago with Erwin Pesek . In 1934 he drove with the 47-year-old Reggie McNamara his 99th six-day race, while Reboli was the youngest in the field at the age of 20.

Twice - in 1938 and 1939 - Reboli was also the American champion in the standing race . In 1947 he resigned from competitive cycling.
