Tinus van Beurden (1920)

Martinus Cornelis Maria "Tinus" van Beurden (born April 30, 1893 , † May 29, 1950 ; also Harry van Beurden ) was a Dutch football player . He played for Willem II from 1910 to 1926 ; During this time he was used more than 126 times in the Tilburg first team , scoring 47 goals. In 1916 he was the first team from the province of Dutch champions with the North Brabants . Van Beurden could be used variably in all positions and was even on the pitch as a goalkeeper; he played most effectively as a left winger .

On April 5, 1920 in Amsterdam he made his debut as well as Dick MacNeill , Eduard van Roessel , Jan de Natris , Joop van Dort and Herman van Diermen in the Dutch national team . This made him the first national player for Willem II. The international match against Denmark was won 2-0 by the Elftal ; van Beurden, used in the storm in his favorite position on the left wing, could not score a goal. While all other debutants had other appearances in Orange , it was van Beurden's only international match; however, he was a substitute for the Dutch squad in all the following games in 1920, including the Olympic Games in Belgium, where the team won the bronze medal.

In the list of these games on the KNVB website , he is listed under his real name, in other statistics than Harry van Beurden .
