Tiny lights

Tiny Lights were an American folk rock band from Hoboken , New Jersey, founded by John Hamilton and Donna Croughn in 1985 .

The first line-up also included Dave Dreiwitz, Andy Demos and the cellist Jane Scarpantoni . The group members played rock instruments as well as numerous classical instruments, the performances were characterized by a high proportion of improvisation. The first release, the maxi-single Flowers through the Air , and the debut album Prayer for the Halcyon Fear came out in 1985 on Temple Records . From 1988 to 1994 the band toured extensively in the USA.

Later members of the band include: Stuart Hake (cello), John Mastro (drums), Catherine Bent (cello), Andy Burton (piano, organ) and Ron Howden (drums).

Dave Dreiwitz has played bass with Ween since 1997 , Jane Scarpantoni was a cellist a. a. at Lou Reed , Indigo Girls , Bruce Springsteen and Adam Green . John Hamilton and Donna Croughn are a couple in their private life and have two children. John is a professor at Harvard University .
