Titaÿna

Titaÿna is the author's name of Élisabeth Sauvy-Tisseyre (* 1897 , † 1966 ), Alfred Sauvy's eldest sister , she was a journalist and reporter for the tabloid Paris-Soir from 1925 to 1939. During the German occupation (and even before that ) she wrote pro-occupier articles and was charged after the liberation. She retired to San Francisco . Benoît Heimermann wrote her biography .

She interviewed the powerful of her time: Ataturk , Abd el-Krim , Mussolini , Hitler .

She is the author of numerous travel and research works, including La caravane des morts , in which she describes her journey through Iraq and Persia and, among other things, describes the religious life of the Shiites .
