Tittfer is the name of an extinct Baltic nobility .

history

The Tittfer were vassals of the Bishop of Oesel and appear first with Johann Tittfer , who appeared as a witness in Leal in 1368 . Claus Tittfer recorded the act on March 21, 1417 as assessor of the Comtur of Reval .

With Kersten von Tittfer , heir to Wenden ux. Anna von Fahrensbach adH Udenküll , and the common heir, Gertrud von Tittfer, who was married to Wilhelm von Uexküll († 1632), heir to Kosch and Kurrefer, around 1590 , the family probably found its beginning at the beginning of the 17th century.

The family coat of arms shows three (2: 1) blue fish hooks in silver. On the helmet with blue-silver covers, two blue fish hooks removing a natural peacock tail.
