history

In 1323 the then Udenküll estate was first documented as a fiefdom of the de Udencul family, a branch of the Brakel family . The de Udencul family, which named themselves after the estate, was documented until 1388, then expires before 1420. Around this time Udenküll was loaned to the Varensbeke family . This specifically expanded the rule of Udenküll. By 1478 they acquired Klein Harja and Bisholm , in 1522 they received the sole right to the islands of Tuvenholme with Udenküllholm, and the villages of Harra in the parish of Nuckö and Voerla in 1557 belonged to Udenküll. Anna Fahrensbach adH Udenküll, a granddaughter of Johann III. inherited the estate to her husband Kersten Tittfer . In 1593 Georg Berlin sold the desert village of Udenküll to his uncle Matthias Treyden , later Gustav Woldemar von Knorring († 1787) was the owner of Udenküll. Udenküllholm was sold in 1840.

Many Swedish farmers were already settled on Udenküll in the 15th century.
