Üdruma (German Idroma ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality Lääne-Nigula (until 2017: rural municipality Kullamaa ) in Lääne County in Estonia .

Population and location

The place has 85 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is located 34 kilometers southeast of the county capital Haapsalu . It has been documented since the beginning of the 16th century.

monument

In the place there is a memorial for a skirmish of the First World War , which is said to have taken place on February 22, 1918 in Üdruma. Only the white horse of a local resident was killed by shots by the German army, so that the monument is popularly known as the “monument of the white horse”.
