Vaisi (German Waissa ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality Lääne-Nigula (until 2017: rural municipality Nõva ) in Lääne County in Estonia .

The lake Veskijärv

The place has 35 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is located thirty kilometers northeast of the county capital Haapsalu .

The area belonged to the Lihula nunnery since the 14th century . In 1402 the village was subordinated to the Padise monastery under the name Waisoe or Wayse in the course of an area swap .

The Nõva River ( Nõva jõgi ) flows through the village . The area of ​​the village includes the 19 hectare lake Lepaauk and the 184.2 hectare lake Veskijärv. The Veskijõgi River flows through it .
