Tusari is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Lääne-Nigula (until 2017: rural municipality Nõva ) in Lääne County .

Population, location and history

The place has 16 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is located 27 kilometers northeast of the district town of Haapsalu .

The Nõva River ( Nõva jõgi ) flows through the village .

The area belonged to the Lihula nunnery since the 14th century . In 1402 the village was subordinated to the Padise Monastery under the name Tursever or Thursever in the course of an area swap .
