Hindaste

Hindaste is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Lääne-Nigula (until 2017: rural municipality Nõva ) in Lääne County .
Population and location
The place has 17 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). The area belonged to the Lihula nunnery since the 14th century . In 1402 the village was subordinated to the Padise Monastery under the name Intas or Inthosz as part of an area swap .
The lake of the same name Hindaste järv is located southeast of Hindaste . It is 0.8 hectares in size. The lake is part of the nature reserve around the Suursoo moor.
