Titular diocese of Edessa in Macedonia
Edessa in Macedonia ( Italian : Edessa di Macedonia ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to the bishopric in the ancient city of Edessa in the ecclesiastical province of Thessalonica .
Today's orthodox diocese "Edessa, Pella and Almopia" in Greek Macedonia belongs to the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople under canon law.
