Titular Diocese of Tripoli in Lydia
Tripoli in Lydia ( Italian : Tripoli di Lidia ) is a titular diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .
It goes back to an earlier diocese of the ancient city of Tripoli ad Maeandrum on the upper reaches of the Meander in Lydia , east of today's Buldan in the Turkish province of Denizli . The diocese belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Sardis .
