Titus Dugović or Tito Dugović ( kyr. Титус / Тито Дуговић, Hungarian: Titusz Dugovics; *?; † July 21, 1456 in Belgrade ) was a Serbian soldier who was stationed in Belgrade at the time of the siege of Belgrade by the Ottomans. He was made a hero after his death and the successful defense of Belgrade after the Ottomans repulsed him.

Belgrade was under the command of János Hunyadi in his time . From July 4th to July 22nd, 1456, Sultan Mehmet II besieged Belgrade. After previous fierce battles, Ottoman troops attacked the city walls of Belgrade on July 21, 1456. Legend has it that a Janissary managed to climb a battle tower and hoist the Ottoman banner when it was thrown down by the soldier Dugović at the same moment. Dugović fell into the depths with the Ottoman standard bearer and prevented the banner from being set up.

The heroic deed was remembered by the defenders of Belgrade in connection with the strike back by the Ottomans. In 1859, at the time of the continuous loss of power of the Ottoman Empire in Southeast Europe, the Hungarian painter Sándor Wagner took up the legend and captured the scene of the fall of Dugović and the Ottoman standard-bearer on oil.

Josip Broz is said to have given himself his code name Tito after Titus Dugović when the CPJ was banned in Yugoslavia.
