Titus Sextius Lateranus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Titus Sextius Lateranus was a Roman politician and senator .

His full name was Titus Sextius Lateranus Marcus Vibius Ovel (lius?) ... Secundus Lucius Volusius (Torquatus?) Vestinus . Lateranus came from a Republican family and was probably a son of Titus Sextius Cornelius Africanus, who had been consul in 112 , and a grandson of Titus Sextius Magius Lateranus , who had held the consulate in 94. In 154 he became full consul with the future emperor Lucius Verus ; this is evidenced by an inscription and the Fasti Ostienses . In the 168/169 (or 170/171) year of office he became proconsul of the province of Africa . His son Titus Sextius Magius Lateranus was consul in 197.
