Titus Valerius Caratinus

Titus Valerius Caratinus was a member of the Roman army living in the 2nd or 3rd century AD .

A dedicatory inscription that was found near Miltenberg and that is dated 151/260 shows that Caratinus was Centurion . He was probably the Centurion of the Numerus Seiopensium .

Remarks

  1. The reading at EDCS is num (eri) [S] eiopen (sium) . Marcus Reuter writes that the reading is not secured; he gives the following two readings: num (eri) Seipen (sium) or num (eri) explor (atorum) .
