from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Titus Vennonius Avitus (full name form Titus Vennonius Titi filius Stellatina Avitus ) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

A military diploma dated August 11, 192 shows that Avitus 192 was in command of the Ala I Thracum Veterana , which was stationed in the province of Pannonia Inferior at the time. Avitus was inscribed in the tribe Stellatina and came from Augusta Taurinorum , today's Turin ; his full name and his origin are documented by four dedicatory inscriptions that were found near Bölcske .
