Tiyatrom in Berlin-Kreuzberg

Tiyatrom , Turkish for Mein Theater , is a predominantly Turkish-language theater in Berlin-Kreuzberg that has existed since 1984.

Beginnings

After Turkish theater was played at the Volkshochschule Berlin-Kreuzberg as early as 1971 , and in 1979 a Turkish ensemble at the Schaubühne am Halleschen Ufer also attracted attention in a German theater company, the Odak eV association was founded in 1983 as an association of professional actors and amateur actors. The Tiyatrom emerged from this.

Actor, director and dramaturge Yekta Arman currently heads the theater . One of his predecessors was Meray Ülgen , who significantly shaped the theater through reforms.
