Toad the Wet Sprocket (American band)
Toad the Wet Sprocket is an American alternative rock group founded in 1986 in Santa Barbara ( California ) and consists of the singer Glen Phillips, the guitarist Todd Nichols, the bassist Dean Dinning and the drummer Randy Guss.
Career
The group broke up in 1998, but toured the USA again in 2002/03 and 2006 with the old line-up. In December 2010 the band announced their reunification and in April 2011 released the album "All You Want" with new recordings of a total of eleven previous songs. On March 22, 2013, the band announced via Facebook that the work on the new album had been completed and that it should be released in mid-September. On June 5th, the single "New Constellation" came out, the title of which will also be the album name.
The unusual band name (literally: "Toad, the wet gear rim") comes from a Monty Python Sketch.
