Tobias Erhardt

Tobias Erhardt (born April 22, 1966 in Pirmasens ) is a German therapy scientist.

Life

Erhardt completed training as a masseur in Worms in 1991 and as a physiotherapist in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse in 1994 . He then worked as a physiotherapist until 2004. Between 1998 and 2002, in addition to his professional activity at the University of Koblenz-Landau , Landau department, he studied sports science, psychology and political science and obtained his master's degree . Erhardt completed a second degree (sport and politics for teaching) in 2005. At the same time he was active in the school service. In 2006, his doctoral thesis was accepted at the Institute for Sports Science at the University of Koblenz-Landau, Landau department. Erhardt is an advocate of the full academization of therapeutic science, which he called the "collective term for these young academic disciplines [...] physiotherapy, occupational therapy , speech therapy ". He is working to ensure that these disciplines are upgraded in the overall medical context - sometimes even against resistance from medical associations.

The focus of his scientific work includes preventive measures for back pain, health promotion in schools, teaching-learning processes in physiotherapy and health walks.
