Tobias Kunze

Tobias Kunze (* 1981 ) is a German slam poet , rapper and author.

Since the beginning of the 2000s he has been a regular rapper and poet on German-language poetry slams and is considered one of the pioneers of the slam scene, especially for the Lower Saxony region. In 2008 he won the first North Rhine-Westphalian slam championships in Münster , and in 2009 the European Poetry Slam in Berlin . His texts included trips to Italy, Estonia, France, Romania, Belarus and Switzerland, including some on behalf of the Goethe Institute . He was also a guest at poetry and cultural festivals in Malawi, Madagascar and Cyprus. The Hanoverian reading stage Die Nachtbarden , which he co-founded, has existed in the TAK since 2007 . Today Kunze organizes numerous literary and cultural events in Hanover, such as the regular Power Words ! -Slam in the Hanover Opera . His texts are often written in the style of rap music, and Kunze often works with improvisation as a stylistic device .

Kunze is part of the four-man Hanoverian rap formation Big Tune , she released the album Melodinner in 2004 , the Rough Blues EP in 2010 , the EP Kopf hoch in 2016 and the EP Durch die Nacht mit ... in 2017 .
