Todar Mal
Todar Mal (* in Laharpur , Avadh ; † 1586 in Lahaur ) was finance minister of the Mughal ruler Akbar .
Todar Mal was a Raja and Hindu . As Akbar's finance minister, he reorganized the financial administration and changed the official language used in it from Hindi to Persian . For Akbar he put together a work on Hindu customs. He also wrote about the cultural and literary significance of Sanskrit .
