Tof Thissen
Tof Thissen (born May 19, 1957 in Roermond ) is a Dutch politician of the GroenLinks party .
Life
From 1976 to 1977 Thissen was a member of the Partij van de Arbeid . In 1977 Thissen switched to the Pacifist Socialist Partij and became active in the peace movement in the Netherlands. From 1977 to 1982 Thissen studied theology at the High School for Theology and Pastorate in Heerlen . From 1986 to 2002 he was also a member of the City Council of Roermond. From 1987 to 1990 Thissen studied theology at Radboud University Nijmegen . Thissen has been a member of the GroenLinks party since 1989 . Thissen is the director of the Kwaliteitsinstituut Nederlandse Gemeenten (KING). Thissen has been a senator in the First Chamber of the States General since October 2004 and, since 2007, at the same time the Group Chairman of the GroenLinks in the First Chamber of the States General.
