Tohsi

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Tohsi or Tohsiten (also known as: Tohsı, Tuxs or Tuxsî ) were a nomadic tribe of Turkic origin who were initially responsible for the Türgesch and from 766 to the Karluken tribe .

The traditions about this people are quite sparse and come mainly from Muslim works of the 10th and 11th centuries ( Hudūd al-ʿĀlam or the Diwan Lughat at-Turk ).

In these works they are referred to as allies of the Chigil neighboring them .
