Tomáš Okleštěk (born February 21, 1987 in Brno ) is a Czech football player . The midfielder currently plays for 1. FC Brno .

Club career

Tomáš Okleštěk started playing football at the Brno club FC Dosta Bystrc-Kníničky. 1998 to FC Boby Brno, today Zbrojovka Brno. For the 2006/07 season, the midfielder was transferred to the first division squad. His premiere in the Gambrinus League was the 1.83 meter tall Okleštěk on August 20, 2006 when his team beat Slavia Prague 1-0 . In the course of the season, another 18 appearances by midfield players followed. Okleštěk scored his first league goal in the second leg against Slavia, but 1. FC Brno lost 2-1. In the Hindrunde of the 2009/10 season Okleštěk was awarded to the second division club FC Zenit Čáslav , in early 2010 he returned to Brno .

National team

Tomáš Okleštěk played for the Czech U17 team from 2004 to 2005. From 2005 to 2006 he ran for the U19 national team. He has been playing for the U20s since 2006. He is part of their squad for the 2007 Junior World Cup in Canada . In the round of 16 against Japan, which ended 2-2 after regular playing time, he converted his team's fifth penalty kick in the subsequent penalty shoot-out .
