Tom Black, the criminal lord

Tom Black, the criminal prince (also: Tom Black) was the hero of a crime film series in four parts, which Rudi Bach realized in 1920 for the film company Gustav Althoff & Co. in Berlin. Fritz Kampers played the title role . For the first part, co-direction by Bruno Eichgrün is considered possible. Walter Schmidthässler wrote the script for parts 3 and 4 .

For the second part, in which the criminal prince deliberately caused a railway accident by moving a switch and robbed a passenger who had died in the process (see title), an application for a ban was submitted in December 1920 because of endangering public safety , which the chief inspectorate in a youth ban, although she still saw the film as "suitable", "to act brutal and demoralizing".
