Thomas Franklin "Tom" Gayford (born November 21, 1928 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a former Canadian show jumping and eventing rider .
He started at three Olympic Games (1952 and 1960 in eventing , 1968 in show jumping ).
Gayford was the Canadian team's head of equipe and designed the jumping course for the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976 .
In 1968 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Canadian Sports .
