Tom Hegermann
Tom Hegermann (* 1960 in Duisburg ) is a journalist, moderator and trainer. He is best known as a radio host for West German Broadcasting. From 1991 to 2016 he moderated for 25 years at WDR 2 , then for some time at WDR 5. In the meantime, he has concentrated on his tasks as an event moderator and communication trainer.
Hegermann studied politics , history , American studies and journalism at the Comprehensive University of Duisburg and the American University in Washington DC and has been a freelance journalist since 1984.
Since 1991 he has worked as a radio presenter and from 1993 also took over the moderation of congresses, meetings, panel discussions and other events. He has now moderated more than 2,000 events. He also works as a trainer on the subject of "communication in public" and offers, among other things, interview, lecture, discussion and moderation seminars.
