Angelo Cardinal Comastri (born September 17, 1943 in Sorano , Grosseto Province , Italy ) is a Cardinal Curia of the Roman Catholic Church . Since 2006 he has been archpriest of St. Peter's Basilica .

Life

After studying at the seminaries of Pitigliano and Viterbo and studying Catholic theology and philosophy at the Lateran University , where he obtained a degree in theology , Comastri received the sacrament of the Church on March 11, 1967 from Bishop Luigi Boccadoro in the parish church of his hometown Sorano Ordination .
