Tom Kraushaar
Tom Kraushaar (* 1975 ) is a German publisher. He has been the publishing director of Klett-Cotta Verlag since 2007 .
Life
After training as a publisher's bookseller at Suhrkamp Verlag , Frankfurt in the mid-1990s, Tom Kraushaar studied modern German literature, Italian studies and business administration at the Humboldt University in Berlin. In 1997 he founded the Verlag für Theater , Berlin. From 1999 to 2002 Kraushaar was editor of the Leipzig literary magazine Edit - paper for new texts and managing director of the literary association EDIT eV In 2002 he was awarded the Hermann Hesse Prize for German literary magazines. From 2003 to 2005 he worked as assistant to the publisher Alexander Fest at Rowohlt Verlag , Reinbek. In 2005 he founded Tropen Verlag GmbH together with Michael Zöllner in Berlin. Since then he has been a publisher. He is the recipient of the Karl Heinz Zillmer Prize 2006 for special publishing services.
Tom Kraushaar has been Managing Director of Klett-Cotta Verlag since the end of 2007 . Together with Michael Zöllner , he succeeded Michael Klett , who was in charge of the publishing house for many years. When they entered this position, both brought the independent publisher Tropen with them to Stuttgart, which has since been an imprint of Klett-Cotta Verlag. In 2018, the publishing director Michael Zöllner leaves Klett-Cotta Verlag. Since then, Tom Kraushaar has been running the publishing house together with the commercial director Andreas Falkinger.
