Thomas "Tom" Moore (born April 6, 1904 in Barrow-in-Furness , † 1953 ) was an English football player .

Career

Moore is said to have come to AFC Barrow as an amateur from Hawkshead, about 40 kilometers north, in April 1926, when the club relied almost exclusively on local players. For the club playing in the Football League Third Division North , he was first used on April 5, 1926 in a 3-0 loss to Tranmere Rovers as a left defender . Between April 17 and May 1, 1926, three more league missions followed in the center forward position , in which he formed the storm row with Tom Hatch , Harry Roberts , Noel Ivison and Bobby Hutchinson .

Moore scored once in the 2-1 away defeat against Rotherham United and in the 3-3 draw in the second leg against Tranmere, when despite a 3-0 half-time lead, no win succeeded. His career in the Football League came to an end with a 2-1 win on the final day of the game at Watford FC , one of only seven league victories Barrow in the 1925/26 season , which ended the season as a beaten table bottom.
