Tom Southam

Tom Southam (born May 28, 1981 in Penzance ) is a British cyclist , sports director and author.

Southam finished second in the British road racing championships in 2002 and 2004 . In 2005 and 2006 he drove for the Professional Continental Team Barloworld , but could not achieve any top placements during this time. At the end of the 2011 season he ended his career as a professional cyclist and became sporting director for his last team as Active Rapha Condor-Sharp , in 2015 with Drapac Professional Cycling and since 2018 with EF Education First .

In 2013, Southam, who studied professional writing at Falmouth University and obtained a Master of Arts degree , published the book Domestik together with Charly Wegelius , another former professional cyclist . In 2013 the book was nominated for the prestigious William Hill Sports Book of the Year .
