Tomahawk is an open-source - media player for the operating systems Windows , macOS and Linux . A particular feature of the software is the search function for music in various streaming services . The program can also be used as a peer-to-peer client.

The various streaming services are technically integrated using software plug-ins (so-called content resolver plug-ins ).
The first version 0.0.1 was published on March 25, 2011. A version for Android is currently in development. At the beginning of 2017, the developments on the project were stopped.
Supported streaming services
The software supports the following streaming services: Spotify , YouTube , Jamendo , Grooveshark , Last.fm , SoundCloud , ownCloud , 4shared, Dilandau, Official.fm, Ampache , Subsonic, Google Play Music , Beats Music , Beets, Rdio (currently only for Android ), Deezer (currently only for Android),
