Tomas Kanovsky

Tomas Kanovsky (* 1970 ) is a German sports manager .

Life

Tomas Kanovsky was born in the Czech Republic  . He went skiing on the performance level and played basketball in Bayreuth . After studying business administration, he worked in the field of marketing and advertising, including as managing director of an agency. From summer 2014 to summer 2015 he worked in marketing and sales for the ice hockey club EHC Bayreuth and then from 2015 in this area for the Bundesliga basketball team Medi Bayreuth . In May 2019, the Austrian Basketball Association (ÖBV) announced Kanovsky's appointment as general manager from June 1, 2019, and he also took over the position of managing director of BSL GmbH, the operator of the Admiral Basketball Superliga . In April 2020 he left the ÖBV and returned to Germany for private reasons.
