The Tombolo di Giannella (sometimes also Tombolo della Gianella ) is a spit ( tombolo ) in the Italian province of Grosseto on the southern edge of Tuscany . It belongs to the municipality of Orbetello .

It connects the Monte Argentario with Albinia , a district of Orbetello. There is a small village and several large campsites on the spit. These are exclusively on the side of the lagoon. With a few steps you can cross the road and the dunes almost everywhere and you will find yourself on a wide sandy beach. Almost everything is “spiaggia libera”, there are only a few licensed bathing establishments. The spit is about six kilometers long and on average around 300 meters wide.
