Tommy Ahlers

Tommy Ahlers (born November 18, 1975 in Haderslev ) is a Danish entrepreneur and politician (most recently Venstre ). He gained fame as an investor in the TV program " Den of the Lion " ("Løvens Hule"). He was Minister for Education and Research in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen III government .

Life

Ahlers comes from Aggerschau (Agerskov) in North Schleswig . He made a career in the wireless industry. He was initially a member of the youth organization of the Conservative People's Party , but joined Venstre shortly before taking over his ministerial office. On May 2, 2018, he took over the role of Minister of Education and Research from his party mate Søren Pind .

Positions

Ahlers advocates a more flexible education system, which should enable students who have completed a bachelor's degree to be able to take a break for up to three years without losing their first right to a master's degree; the break should make it possible to gain practical experience. Ahlers is also committed to seeing “failure as an opportunity” and rejects a “zero-error culture”.
