Tomohiko Itō ( Japanese 伊藤 友 彦 , Itō Tomohiko ; born May 28, 1978 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Itō learned to play soccer on the school team of Chukyo University Chukyo High School . He signed his first contract in 1997 with Nagoya SC . In 1999 he moved to the second division Ventforet Kofu . For the club he completed 44 games. In 2001 he moved to league competitor Shonan Bellmare . In 2003 he moved to the first division club Cerezo Osaka . For the club he completed 23 first division games. In 2006 he returned to Shonan Bellmare. At the end of the 2009 season, the club rose to the J1 League . For the club he completed 30 games. At the end of 2010 he ended his career as a football player.
