Tomohiro Katanosaka ( Japanese 片 野 坂 知 宏 , Katanosaka Tomohiro ; born April 18, 1971 in Kagoshima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player and coach.

Career

Katanosaka learned to play soccer on the school team at Kagoshima Jitsugyo High School . He signed his first contract with Mazda in 1990 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League Division 2. In 1990/91 he was runner-up in Division 2 with the club and was promoted to Division 1. With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, the Mazda became Sanfrecce Hiroshima . In 1994 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club . In July 1995, he moved to league rivals Kashiwa Reysol . In 1999 he won the J.League Cup with the club . For the club he completed 103 first division games. In 2000 he moved to the second division club Ōita Trinita . In August 2000 he was loaned to the first division club Gamba Osaka . In 2002 he was loaned to the first division club Vegalta Sendai . In 2003 he returned to Ōita Trinita. In 2002 he became champions of the J2 League with Oita and rose to the J1 League. At the end of 2003 he ended his career as a soccer player.
